Ryan Papaserge

I am a senior journalism major/English minor at St. Bonaventure University, a nice little school tucked in the Allegany Mountains of New York. I currently serve as associate editor at The Bona Venture, the campus newspaper at which I have toiled in an editor position for the past four semesters. Additionally, I occasionally contribute in a NASCAR Featured Columnist position at Bleacher Report. Away from journalism and school, I enjoy classic/modern rock, reading and writing. Follow me on Twitter @papaserge.

And just like that, my Bonnies are returning to the NCAA Tournament. comments (0)

The Battle for Holiday Sports Supremacy December 29, 2011 In American culture, the sports revolving around any particular holiday are often as notable as the traditions surrounding it. The Ugliest Uniforms in Sports History December 5, 2011 Fashion faux pas aren't just reserved for the fashion world. Though the sports world may seem to function outside the domain of fashion trends and critiques, athletic uniforms are far from immune to criticism, oftentimes rightly so... comments (0)
The Real Tragedy at Penn State November 10, 2011 I was stunned by the number of students who were in blind defense of Joe Paterno after his firing. Football will continue. Paterno’s life will continue. The mental anguish suffered by Jerry Sandusky’s victims will as well. You tell me which is more important. comments (4)
Newton Shakes Off College Controversy with Pro Start October 3, 2011 After a Heisman Trophy and a bit of controversy, star quarterback Cam Newton has begun his rookie debut in the NFL. So far his play has been fantastic, and there's no indication that it will change anytime in the future. comments (0)
