I’m a small town nerd who, through the experience of college life, has recently learnt how to be. I hail from rural southeastern Wisconsin, where I spent freshman year at a junior college, saving money and making fantastic friends along the way. At age twelve I was diagnosed with type 1 juvenile diabetes, which sparked an early interest in political study and involvement, an interest which blossomed into my pursuit of a Political Science degree. Speaking of political leanings, I lean liberal-progressive, but I will listen to the serious opinions and ideas of any political or ideological belief, because diversity is a source of strength. I believe that the objective of life is learning as much as one can from the resources they’re given, and to use that knowledge to help others. I’m truly honored to be a member of the Voices team of NextGen News, and I hope to learn as much as I can from both contributors and readers.
