James Meixiong

I am a junior at Harvard College. Although interested in all international politics and world news, my primary writing interests relate to East Asian affairs and the emerging role of China as a superpower. I grew up in Virginia, Alabama, and went to high school in Georgia. My primary academic interests involve science (specificallycellular biology) as well as economics. Science has instilled strong notions of empirical logic and skepticism and has profoundly impacted the way that I think. I do not classify myself as belonging to either political party; however, it would be accurate to describe myself as left of center on many issues. Outside of class, I enjoy a wide range of activities including ultimate frisbee, working in a research lab, blogging for the Harvard political review, and volunteering for various health organizations.
