'“I’m fed up because in a year I’m going to be entering the job market and it’s dominated by corporations,” Barker said. “That’s not who I want to be working for.”'
Umm... isn't it the corporations run and started by entrepreneurs who create jobs in the first place. We shouldn't ever be dependent on the government to create jobs. My recommendation to barker is to start her own company when she graduates and see what the real world is like... or just put on a superhero costume and keep playing 'let's pretend'.

HEY ALL YOU READERS!!!
I'm andrea marcos, and i was interviewed in this article, i just want to clarify some things, because i feel i was totally misquoted. Upon being asked something along the lines of 'why do you think that the youth are important in this movement" I responded..."actually, I think it's important that the whole community comes out and NOT just the youth! i think this language of 'it's the youth that is going to change things' divides us. we need diversity and inclusivity within our movements, and that diversity includes age. We also NEED OUR ELDERS, we need story telling across differences and we need trust building. It's not just the youth that can do this, it's all people. there needs to be solidarity across differences."feels crappy that i was quoted saying the opposite of this. practice solidarity everyday in life, regardless of age or other things that are social constructs used to divide us. thanksandrea
